Have had many clients ask for a WG but that Scotsman did make me feel uncomfortable. Never have I seen anyone so direct and obnoxious. When he yelled "Where's the Office Pussy" on the boat, one of my colleagues did say, "Excuse me, you are referring to our co-woriers? They're not whores you know?" That shut him up but it was the most difficult customer I ever dealt with. However, when he was back in Edinburgh, we talked on the phone and he was very normal and professional.
I once had two Arab customers that met me in Bangkok for company visits. One guy was very straight and would retire after dinner while the other one was really wild. After dinner he would ask me to go out with him and insisted on paying for drinks and the women. He's Arab but would drink like a fish and we will monger all the way till 6am. At 7am I had to go back to the hotel and freshen up and have breakfast with his boss. No sleep for me and another full day of meetings ahead. The young, mongering Arab obviously did not show up for any of these meetings because he was out all night with me but his boss didn't care as the younger Arab was a prince of sorts and had a big shareholding in the company. This went on for 3 nights, no sleep at all for me, drinking and mongering every night and heavy work schedule with his boss during the day. Thought I really would die if I went on like this for a forth night. Glad I don't have to do that nowadays.
