Yes it is good if they can communicate with each other. But I think it is better if they communicate in English rather than their own language. I also travel with my wife often to Thailand and we both enjoy Thai girls very much. Usually if we meet a girl we chat for a while first to see if there is any chemistry. So if the girl can't speak any English, usually it won't get past that point.
Also correct what you said about hunting where you live. Before we were married we were out in the discos several times per week getting girls.
