	Reply #14 Weelock's post I didn't say that a BBS gal gotta pay up-front!  I said that the upfront fee is for KTV gals. A KTV gal - yes - and it's not only a small "daily" fee that she pays to have the privilege of going to work that day (and BTW - some KTV's will also fine a gal for not showing up for work - go figure!), but also quite substantial "upfront" payments for Uniform, processing fee, deposit, performance bond etc - and these can go up to as high as RMB 1,000 even in CP.  That is even before they can get their "work card" there. This is why a lot of gals, when they first start in the "profession," needs to first work at a BBS, to stump up enough cash to be able to work at a KTV. And thus my oft stated sentiment that one can sometimes find true "gems" at a BBS. Note - each place has it's own set of rules.  These are just generalizations. SEAJ
