here's an article I found, concerning various options for travel between DG and HK. Nothing too profound, just confirms what I thought: The best option for going to HKIA is probably to take the Humen ferry to HKIA, assuming that you figure out a decent way to get to the port. If you happen to be taking Cathay Pacific, or some of the smaller airlines such as Dragon Air or Hong Kong Air, you can check in straight from the Humen Ferry Port.

Another option is that there's a free shuttle from Changping to Shenzhen Airport. Takes 50 minutes, but saves you some money. The catches are that 1) you need to fly out of SZX, but there's probably ways around that and 2) there's no ferry out of the SZX airport, but rather you need to take a shuttle bus (10-15 min) to go from SZX to the Fuyong port, then catch the ferry from there to HKIA. | |
