WG's ways and attitudes...

I had also been seeing another WG (to add to hunter's comment above) in Fa Yuen street in MK. Also got to know her in more than the normal customer-WG relationship, and got into the routine of meeting her for lunch, then up to her room. But after I had told her that I made some money from selling condo units in Bangkok, she started asking me to fund some of her purchases -- a small refrigerator, Addidas sneakers, a Gucci bag, the latest Nokia mobile phone, then another because some punter stole that latest one, expensive herbal products from Manning's, a desktop computer for her 10 year old son, and a sofa for her flat. She may be struggling financially, but one thing she knew well, was brand name goods. The total amount of these purchases was not much, probably about $15K, but it was her attitude -- that whenever she saw me, here was the opportunity to hit me for a few thousand dollars to get whatever she needed or wanted. And I paid her the $500 in cash each time I saw her in her room as the official customer. That sofa was the last straw and I have not called or seen her since.
I think the point is, if you're going to have an extra type of relationship with a WG, not much good can really come of it, and it will cost you big in some form -- money wise and/or emotionally wise, probably both.
