Anyone else think there’s something suspicious ongoing with the newbie reports section? Sounds a bit like someone is having a lot of fun using ChatGPT to spam our forum…

Which reviews do you think were generated by ChatGPT?
We just had a mass exodus from AMPReviews, and this is where a lot of those forum refugees landed.

I concur with gg1234.  Coming from the other site, I see the volume of reviews are comparable to what I see in the other site. I assume most of the active members from the other site have come here and are posting reviews. The other site (San Fran forums) is pretty quiet now that they have successfully driven a lot of us out to this site.

I actually don’t mind. At first I thought it was annoying but now, I really don’t mind. Good intel. Wish the mainland China and Macau section would pick up now borders are open

yeah i think all the guys that monger about the K orgs in SF San jose area will make up for the bulk of activities in the newbie forum since there's always new things to talk about

There was a massive thread over in AMP-reviews of people asking for a link to this site, where everyone is taking refuge. Honestly a dumpster fire over there and everyone in the Bay Area had to leave as soon as they banned discussions about outside the immediate area of San Francisco.

Can't they just put it in the North America section? No locals have any interest in these reports appearing in the Noob section.

As a newbie myself who posted in the noob section, I tried my hardest to look for a way to post in the other forums but couldn’t figure it out.

Read the rules, faqs, etc but didn’t see anything about restricted posting access. The only place I could make a post was in the noob section. Wondering if anyone has more info on this?

@dienw - We are following the rules as best as we can.  Posting reports in the Newbie Reports subforum is all the new guys are allowed to do to level up, so we have no choice.  I'm giving karma to all of our guys to level them up so that they can post reviews in the North America subforum.  I'm also letting people know to use the rating system instead of posting one liners, because that's a common mistake they seem to make.  Others are doing the same as me. Together, we are putting in a serious effort to be good guests, because we know we are guests here, and I never want to take our new hosts for granted.

I'm sorry if it's jarring to see a lot of foreigners where there used to be few. In real life, I know that can be a big problem.  HOWEVER, we are committed to being respectful and following the very reasonable rules that have been set forth.  Be patient with us, and I think you'll see most of us are good people.

I guess that means we need to karma up the NA posters so they can transition out of Noobdom.

Wondering if any of our kind mods could add a new section for Newbie - USA. I welcome the new community, and am very appreciative gg is helping educate. It just changes the usefulness for us HK members wanting to find more info on newbie reports.

I am very grateful to this site. And don't want to piss anyone off. I have to say this about the bay area mongers -- they are randy but the law abiding type. They have been treated like dogs by the admin on another site, being used to bans for no good reason. And we were all kicked out, and we have made this site our home.

I would go as far as to state that the swell in the newbie reports section, although annoying, is a good place to learn the ways of this website so we don't make mistakes for which we are banned later. We want to contribute to Intel and acquire it. We absolutely do not want to be homeless again.

I know these providers they are reviewing, and I can guarantee that they are all true. I mean, chatGPT can do many things, but it cannot dick a provider and write an exact report. And there are enough of us to sniff out bullshit. And a lot of experiences are from the year 2023. For your information, chatGPT has a snapshot of the internet till 2021 only. A lot of reviewers are referring to girls who are new, or rules of ORGS that are current.

Your website also makes people work hard, you have a header / template so folks  need to know what they are talking about.

If I were to guess, in a few days, the newly homeless bay area newbies will have outgrown their diapers and moved on to the North America section, and you will never hear from us again.

Now, it will make the citizens of North America, especially New York etc pissed off, but that is another matter.

I have already requested a forum for us in the suggestions and that should take care of the problem.
