Seeing a DH during the day

Hi!  I am looking for information and I hope I can get some sound advice here.  I have family staying with me so I can no longer host and can't get away on the weekends.  I have a couple of my regular DHs that I'd like to see during the week, maybe for lunch.  Is there anyone else here who sees a DH mid-week?  What do you do about getting a room?

Lots of options

depending on where you are based - or rather, depending on where you are NOT based ... for obvious reasons!

Good hourly places
Tin Hau - Villa Victoria
Wanchai - Villa Victoria
Central - Eden Hotel
TST - Also Villa Victoria

A few others in Wanchai also ...
Or Kowloon Tong if you want to drive ...

Search and you'll find.

Depends where you wanna start it off. Wan Chai is good because it's discreet.

I was thinking about this as well but have nowhere to go. I am looking for somewhere like Kwun Tong area, I googled but did not find much.

Ginza seems like an option but kind of far for a quickie.

If you're at Kwun Tong you pretty much have two options:

Closest is Kowloon Tong, a few stops on the MTR, prices are reasonable and you can find quality if you shop around ... but it involves a bit of a sweaty walk ... definitely the #1 option if you're driving.

A little better is Villa Victoria in Tin Hau.  Right next to MTR, with a front entrance and a back entrance (take your pick), good quality and fair price.

Alternatively if you really want Kwun Tong get onto www.booking.com (or a similar site) and see if the hotels in the area are discounting.  Won't cost you a huge fortune, especially if you're up for a longer session, and you get the advantage of no time limit.

If you read Chinese this is a very useful website. Here is a listing of short stay hotels in Kwun Tong: http://www.goopenroom.com/index. ... p;url=tag/district/官塘_m1/&Itemid=2

I saw a couple of hourly hotels in Mong Kok just outside exit D3 of MTR, big neon signs. I walked in and they look pretty shabby, all the rooms were full so I could not see the insides of the rooms. The one one the lower floor said 120.00 for two hours but I suspect that you get what you pay for.

I visited Ginza on 31 Cumberland, TST and apparently they are not 24hr as advertised as I was there at 7am.  There is another place called paradise a floor up  that I was able to visit for two hours for 220.00. The room was clean, shower pressure and  temperature was regular hotel quality. The time warning call came five minutes early but we were already finished and out of the shower by then so no stress there.

There are a couple of other "love hotels" in this building but I don't think 24hrs.

Central

I like Eden Hotel in Central on Wellington Street.  It's not a far walk from LKF or SOHO, but not sure what kind of stealth mode you are in VS time you have.

http://www.mingleplace.com/eden/

The place is clean and comfortable.  I've used it a few times.

If you are based in HK side and have lots of time on your hands and want to get as far away from potential HK side folks, Kwung Tong is a nice faraway area but as others side it's a walk, maybe easier to drive or taxi.  It also fills up quickly.  I once spent an hour going from hotel to hotel all were booked up on a weekend evening (mid-week probably not a problem, I haven't had trouble mid-week there).

If you need a quick rush to a hotel with only an hour or so to spare and need to stay on the island: Eden Hotel in central, wan chai Hotel Vic, or Tin Hau Hotel Vic.

Eden Hotel in Central is nice but a warning - It's not the most private place in the evening because you have to enter next to a busy bar - Daytime is more private.
