I just checked out the Goodview Tangxia for a possible bachelor party.  They have some great 2 or 3 bdrm villas with private pool and terrace.  Seems like an ideal set-up for a bachelor party allowing for nitetime skinny dipping and a place to lounge around the next day.  The villas are also set apart from the main hotel which is critical b/c the resort is VERY family oriented.  Lots of couples and kids running around--not the place you want to drag a mob of drunk guys and KTV girls through the lobby.  The problem is that the hotel is really far from Changping where we would probably want to get the girls.  Felt like we were in a taxi for around 40 minutes when I went from Mayflower to the Goodview hotel.  So I was wondering if anyone knows of any hotels that are closer to Chang Ping or Chang An where we could find a similar private villa w/private pool kind of set-up?

BTW, the sauna at the Goodview Tangxia is closed indefinitely due to a "broken pipe".  Seems like another victim of the crackdown.

i've stayed at hui hua , and the pool on the gym floor is ever occupied... not sure where to find a villa for ya bro. gl!

You should try the royal garden hotel in donguan, good hotel with fantastic ktv

Those villas are not part of the hotel.  Priviately owned.  My sis-in-law owns one of them.  We almost bought one ourselves last year, but were were afraid of hitting a bubble in terms of pricing.

u can try Goodview Hotel at Qiaotou.
Qiaotou is very near to Changping. Taxi-ride less than 20mins in the day. 10mins after midnight.
They don't have villas with private pools, but they have pool facing rooms.
Open the door, and you can jump right into the pool.

I'm guessing you your sis-in-law owns one of the houses across the lake from the hotel.  I saw a bunch of really nice houses and the manager told us those are privately owned.  The villas I'm referring to are on the hill above the hotel.  There's about 8 of them all in a row and indeed they are part of the Goodview hotel b/c the manager let us in for an inspection.  Each villa has its own pool and terrace and pricing is roughly RMB 5K/nighte .  They also have a huge VIP villa with like 6 bedrooms and 6 living rooms, but that one is something like 40K RMB per night.

Yes, I actually have spent time researching the RGH and it seems really nice, with good facilities (tennis courts, nice pool, billiards, shuffleboard, ping pong, etc).  Unfortunately they don't have any pool villas--but if we just go for a normal hotel its one of the top on the list.


Thanks for this tip.  I guess they don't have a website b/c I can't seem to find it when I search for Goodview Hotel at Qiaotou of Lotus Lake Resort, which I guess is their former name.  I did read the tripadvisor report and am a bit confused by the pictures b/c the picture of the pool outside the room (which you posted) and the picture of the hotel pool look entirely different.  Maybe they have 2 pools.  I'll give them a call to check.  This could be considered if there are indeed 2 pools and there's only a few rooms around the small pool.  Because we really wouldn't feel comfortable bringing a bunch of WGs out to the public pool with couples and families around.  It'd be pretty obvious that we are some baaad men.

You can use it to throw some private sex parties asking for entry fee. I am sure you'll end up with a great experience and a small profit.
