Ok so doing a little prep for my next encounter... I took my phone last time but didn't get any shots as it wasn't really appropriate given the circumstance, but now I'm thinking about practicalities ( I know I'm prob thinking about it too much! )

Although it deals with the "morality", permission and courtesy aspects.... didn't really get to the bottom line of practicality.

+GOAL
So I thought perhaps a thread to come to a consensus on what the protocol / etiquette for this is to maximise every bros' chances of some good shots.

Basic premises are that:

• You will be respectful and ask the girls permission
  
• You respect the girls privacy and publicity in terms of blurring/blocking images as appropriate.
  
• You ensure she is comfortable and have established some basic rapport
  
• We all want some good shots for info, so sharing is caring for all bros.
  

So here's a few scenarios - how would one approach it:

• You have said your hellos, and getting relaxed, do you ever ask her for photos beforehand (unlikely cos just got in there... and no rapport... but on the plus she's clothed and not so fussed)
  
  
• You have finished up, all went well.  Both are nkd, do you ask for photos... (awkward - given that many/some wg would prob prefer to be clothed before posing)
  
  
• Ok so she agrees and decides she prefers getting dressed... so you manage to get a photo...   so you would like to ask her to take her clothes off again and get a naked photo...  hmm.. backtracking...  
  
  
• You are having sx and want to grab a few live photos... can't really approach the question mid-flow! So do you ask beforehand?
  
  
• Photos are mentioned, but search revealed nothing about videos, in terms of keeping a personal record... do you ever ask, or take?
  
  
• Would the WG be more likely to agree if you tipped... but payment protocol is usually afterwards, so again how to you deal with this if you want to sort it out before for live pics.
  

This will be the first time I've asked a WG for Pics etc, matter never really came up in my uk experiences..... but seems here on 141 the done thing... so let's hear it!

Depends which type of WG you're talking about...

Seems with the current climate for hotel reservation girls, it's easy! And judging from the success rate, you only need to ask, then point and shoot - at any time during the session!

For other WGs (walk-ups, brothels, saunas, etc), it's a different game. Most of them are not as transitory as the hotel girls, and so have privacy on their minds a lot more. With these types of girls, charming them and making them feel at ease about taking pics is crucial; repeat custom works well.

A few points that I have found important in obtaining good shots.

1. Don't rely on a camera phone.
2.Take a small relatively unobtrusive digital camera. Surf the internet for a good low light camera and buy it duty free before you go.
3. Make sure you have a spare memory card so that you can isolate your mongering photos from your main life, this is particularly important if you have a partner.
4. Speak to the WG up front about taking photos. This can be a problem if you don't speak the same language, but you'll just have to muddle through and do your best. Don't be embarrassed or shy about asking, believe me they field much stranger requests.
5. Offer a tip if she's reluctant (payable at the end of the session if your happy).
6. Don't be afraid to walk away if the answer is no.
7. Once she's agreed I just keep the camera on the bedside table or even on the bed near the pillow and grab and shoot whenever I want.
8. I know of 1 guy who'll book 2 girls and get the girls to take the shots as well, this allows 3rd person perspective and another who sets his camera up to take shots at regular intervals automatically.
9.Don't try and backtrack, once she's dressed it's too late to get nude shots.

I take all my photos outside HK, but from reading the forum I doubt very much if you'll have much success getting nude shots of HG's. Your best bet is the walkups. Hopefully some of the HK residents on the forum will share some of their experiences in this regard.

Can I ask why you say not to rely on a camera phone? I would imagine it would be even less obstrusive and easier to pull off? Would that be for the purposes of sneaking a pic I guess? I know my phone  wouldn't work for that, since it makes a loud clicking sound when I try to take a pic...

probably cause the pic quality sucks especially in low light.

Isn't that the legal requirements with all mobile camera phones more or less, that they telegraph when taking a picture? I think this was made the case when a lot of people were using it to take unauthorised pictures of inappropriate subjects, ie topless sunbathers at the beach.

Either way, Camera phones have gotten really good, but they're still not cameras and thusly you shouldn't be surprised when you find your pictures have worthless quality because of the strange lighting or whatnot in her apt.

Oh I didn't know about the legal side of that, that's pretty interesting. My old nokia phone could take pics without the sound.Not that it would be very useful, the camera was so awful you could barely make out anything...

As far as the quality of the pic, that makes more sense now, I was thinking more along the logistics of getting the pic in the first place rather than the quality.

Maybe a dumb question from a non-tech guy, but can anyone confirm that the photos ONLY go to the memory card
and can't be found anywhere else in the camera? That's a worry for me.

most cameras have a small built in memory so it depends on your setting ...
in menu, make sure the setting is for memory card storage instead of camera storage !

Thanks bro. I remember I once took photos for somebody else and then she said she'd forgotten to put
in the memory chip. We were both surprised when the photos came up in the camera view. That was
the reason for my concern.

and there I was thinking that you were thinking of taking some pics of WG and not wanting
them to remain in the camera !

I guess will see how it goes... I think I'll try the camera phone to start with as mine's not too bad in low light.
Must remember to download and purge the photos off the phone before showing any other phone pictures to mates!  Could be embarrassing :-)

Carrying another chunk of technology around seems a bit of a faff... if you are travelling light... then again if you are the guy with the bag of tricks, suppose it just goes in there!

On the note about the shutter sound, I can actually disable the sound in the setting on my phone - confirmed that works!

Seriously, please don't associate photos with tipping! If more WGs got that into their heads, we'd all be paying if we want pics! Just don't go there, please.

Regarding hotel res versus walk-ups, I think HGs are a lot easier to get pics of than walk-ups.

I will definitely have to agree that once her clothes are back on, the nude shots are gone. They will always say something like "next time" or kind of blow it off and be out the door. Only been to HK a couple of times. So have only gotten to enjoy once or twice. But elsewhere outside of asia, I always try after settling in and talking a little bit. Then i bring it up when clothes are still on.

Tipping for photos already standard practice in places like Bangkok.

I was actually referring to nude shots I see very few in the HK section.

You can get good digital cameras that are not much bigger than a mobile and the quality will always be better.

Nothing more frustrating than getting back home to find the photos that you went to all the trouble of getting are useless, definitely worth the trouble to get a proper camera if you want good shots.

I agree.  Cameras are so small these days and with such high quality.  It's a good alternative to photos.

Speaking of photos, i forgot that this thread is related to video's as well. How do you get them to allow you to film during the act? Or even setting the timer during the act? Nude still i can probably muster up the courage to ask. But Videos or during the act i'm not sure if i could bring myself to ask the same way. Any advice?
