Sorry that i forgot about the "NEW RULE" but Bro AsnDragon exerted much efforts to translate the poem i'm pondering about so awarding him some Ks was just FAIR as a sign of my appreciation.
I could have done the same (rewarding Ks to fellow members who can help me out) should i created another thread in search for the context of that poem.

Well....IMHO, it would just be extraneous for you to do that as AsnDragon has already done the work and posted it up for you..

But then again, I would think it best that we await the Mod's pronouncement on this matter; for as it is, they have given the edict that no matter how well deserved, that none of us can grant K's to others to show our appreciation for someone who truly and altruistically share and care on our board.

It's ok, as I've said, I'm posting on veggie cafe because I like Idle Chat, and not to gather up more K's. I always like to helping other brothers out, so long as they don't ask questions that are bit "oblivious". But yeah just to let you know...that poem was written during the Tang Dynasty. It's actually quite famous and I didn't know that until I did some research and translated it into English. But I learn something new every day right? Why would they have that on a Chinatown Sauna place in Manila??I have no idea. But i guess it does sort of fit the whole circumstances of the WG i suppose.

I think I speak for MANY brothers on this board that you have seriously contributed so much to the forum as a whole. Sure some times your remarks could push the envelope a bit, but it's nothing to make a big deal about!

Whether ICT is on veggie cafe or Mongers lounge doesn't matter all that much anymore. The bottom line is that this "Karma whoring" no longer exists and thus we should just move on and not let these trivial remarks get the best of us.

We are all contributors to this forum. this forum exists and only succeeds when all brothers put forth their fair share in commenting, expressing and reporting our experiences. The collective effort is what makes 141 so great that many bros keep coming back to. It's a community in which we have all built, piece by piece, post by post, thread by thread.

Let us not be discouraged or separated based upon these types of situations.

Like I said, you can do whatever you want and I will still insist that you owe all the participants of the ICT an apology - for tarnishing all our reputation that we are all karma whores/trading karmas/NOT contributing when writing up posts JUST to score posting credit.

We have all taken pains to regulate ourselves and you now - after 4,000 posts tell us that we're karma whores?  When this subject matter had been discussed over and over again and even you yourself had stated that we can do whatever we want to do with our K giving powers?  

You could have PM'd me and told me that I should stop the auto +1K that I was doing ANYTIME during the past year and half that this thread has existed - did you do that?  And now to go ahead and do what you're doing now?

For as far as I'm concerned, integrity is NOT something I would - or even could - compromise on.

as for your above assertion, the members participating in the senior discussion thread would discuss what they need to voice regardless of if any Ks are given or not !

And it is because the ICT is specifically targeted towards newbies/newer members to help them get acclimatized to the forum. to find the cadence and temperament, to start to feel the camaraderie that I THOUGHT existed here and then to go on from here to other parts of the forum where they would then make their own way up in the ranking whilst coming back here once a while just to re-join the fun.  

It is NOT, like the Senior's thread, a bitching and moaning thread for a bunch of seniors who really could not give a stuff whether they accumulate any more k's or not.

Members who no longer need such K's - yes, it really don't matter if this thread is post crediiting or not - but this thread is AIMED at welcoming the newbies/newer members.  That it has developed ALSO as a gathering place for some not very new members only attests to its welcoming viability.  But instead of encouraging such GOOD behaviour, you are now telling all of us that what we had been doing all along was so evil, so bad, that you now need to punish all of us by imposing these strictures on us - as if we're CRIMINALS only being "Granted" a second chance at supposedly rehabilitating ourselves!
