Hey - us plebes WORK for our money....and not just ride on the back of the slave labour in our factories.

Come to think of it - how often do you "partake" of the gals in your factory....or does the "never shit on your own doorstep" rule also apply?

I've often had other factory owners I know tell me that its no big deal, everybody does it - even just factory floor  supervisors/other lower ranking members of "management" - that the gals actually think this all quite normal and even look forward to - lets face, be "work-place sexually predated on" - that its like shooting fish in a barrel.

The way I got it told, they even do subscribe to my rather old fashioned notion that one must pay - sooner or later - for sex, as the gals that they do ARE quite well rewarded; either in actual cash or in kind i.e. better positions on the floor, more privileges etc.  To the point that a lot of them openly invite the attention of their superiors. I don't know man....I hope you ain't one of them

Yes I know of a few buddy factory owners that partake in that type of activity in their business. I however am not one of them. Never shit in your own backyard! Things can get rather messy for wanting to do your employee in any business you partake in. If things go wrong, you usually end up paying more than if you were just to go find a WG.

I think bosses partake in that type of activity because they feel like they have some sort of power trip that can stroke their ego. But it really is a disgusting practice as many of these factory workers dont' know better and it's really taking advantage of their difficult situation.

If you think about it, these factory owners are almost to the point of playing "God" rewarding and punishing those that he deemsworthy or unworthy. the sex he demands from his workers are almost like a sacrifice that workers have to give to him to please him. In addition, he controls every aspect of their life, lifestyle and future prospects. what they eat, how they work, their position, wage etc. It's a disgusting scenario, but it happens quite often in China in any business and organization, but especially in Factories as the people who work there are a bit more innocent and honest people who don't know any better.

But I think that with time China will be a like all industrialized nations where laws to protect workers rights will increase over time and these types of coercive actions by bosses to get sex from employees will start to die down a little. But it can NEVER beeradicated, in any society.

All dem young nookies all day long, bulging pockets but that is just against your conscience to spend on the factory floor...comes evening...you just NEED TO empty out BOTH of your pockets! And make a splash doin' it.

Why do you REALLY need to throw your money around like confetti as soon as you hit ANY KTV's?
Not only does it make things a bit more difficult for us "regular" mongers, I always think - hell, if instead you pay your workers just a bit more to slave away 72 hours a week at your factory - wouldn't it be a bit nicer for everybody?

All this lining up to get CRH tickets is really getting to be a drag/I'd really like to buy a bunch of these tickets - especially for SZ-CP - in advance and not have to line up each time.

Does anybody know what is the exact validity for pre-paid CRH tickets?  I know that one can buy a RETURN ticket even a day in advance and then use it - supposedly - up to 2 hours prior AND after the scheduled time on the ticket. Yup - even 2 hours after the train one bought the ticket for.

And if one were to space out the dates of these tickets, would they sell you MULTIPLE tickets for the same journey route; note - for different dates as they for sure will NOT sell you multiple tickets for the same journey date/time under one ID.

And how about some kind of stored value card like our Octopus or the Shenzhen metro?  Anybody know if such is available for travel on the CRH trains?

Any other ideas/suggestions to do away with lining up at the ticket each and every time I travel on the CRH would be gratefully appreciated...especially since Summer's nigh and it's again gonna be so hot - and foul smelling - lining up.

Why people so many people madly queing to buy tickets, its just a train isnt it?

In March, the crowds to the line from Lowu were way too madding, and I think even if I bought the ticket it would have been a 2 hour wait to squeeze on the train. So I walked to the bus terminal and sat on a coach to CP for the first time. it's 1hr40min roughly (it might have been 2 hours), but oh so comfortable since everyone chooses to take the train and not the coach.

Consider taking the coach the next time, it's slightly cheaper, an hour longer but you at least get there in a stress free environment.

I usually take the bus too from Lowu to CP. Yes it is usually less crowded than the train. You pay on the bus and it stops in front of Starbucks and I think also at New Century Hotel. If you are staying near these hotels you can walk. If you took the train, you have to catch a taxi to this area if your hotel is nearby.

Years ago, before they installed cameras on the buses and started to video tape everyone, gangs would rob passengers. It was very dangerous taking long distance buses in China.  Now it's much safer.  You will notice someone video tape you on this route from Lowu to CP.  I have taken other long distance routes in Southern China and most do video tape but a lot don't. Hopefully, the installed cameras are working on those buses.

I've taken buses in China for quite a long time - and it's usually NOT my favorite mode of transport there as the Cowboys on China's highway - including the bus driver himself most times - are just a bit too hairy for me! I remember a ride from SZ to Foshan a few years ago when it started drizzling - making ideal conditions to turn the road the slipperiest - and the driver basically "lost it" trying to overtake a container truck. He started slipping and going sideways instead of forward and I  don't know how he pulled it off but he managed to straighten out the bus.  

Now I would have expected that he would have at least pulled off the road to inspect the bus as that creaky old bus and its old tires WAS under quite a lot of stress - but he just went on ahead and the most amazing thing about this incidence was the fact that NO OTHER PASSENGERS seems to have been fazed at all and just leaned back on their seats etc.....whilst I was literally shitting in my pants.  But such incidence IS just par for the course on China's buses!

Anyway, as far as actually getting on a train - just as long as I've got my ticket and have passed the ticket checking turnstile, I'd just get on the next train that leaves (they do NOT check to make sure that you're on the right train) and occupy ANY vacant seat and act as if the seat actually was assigned on my ticket; 90% of the time no problems, even if it was a First class seat, where they'd just collect an extra RMB 5 for the journey to CP.

And @ icystealer - yes the CRH is just a hi-speed train - but recently they've instituted a requirement that the ticket seller must note down the identity particulars of the buyer - thus delaying the process and resulting in long queues in train ticket counters in China. Errr.... have you been to China yourself? And if so, I would have thought that you'd understand that most things in the mainland are NOT effishun!

We make money to spend it in the most enjoyable ways.  And treating hot chicks to a great evening is a bloody fun way to spend money.  Bloody fun!!  You would do it too...  I have read your reports.  You spend the money on gals that you can afford to spend.  If that amount (that you could afford) doubled, you would soon be spending double.  If it tripled, you would soon be spending triple.  A better hotel, a better bar, more drinks, a better restaurant, etc. etc.  Or maybe staying in the same bars or KTVs but throwing more money around....

You get to play "rock star".  You get great gals who sms you begging you to come fuck them, you get great service in the bars, gals come running when you enter the place, managers take special care of you.., life is good.  At least for that moment. At least while you are spending.

Sometimes you are up and flush, other times.., not so much.  

I get a kick out of peeps who try to nail bros who throw cash around on the ladies:  like they wouldnt do it if they could afford to!  Haha.  Bullshit!  We ALL use whatever advantages we have to score chicks.  Some have great looks, others great charm, others a great big wallet.  Whatever.

SEAN-- I've worked almost 50 years of my life to get to where I am. I may seem a bit unfair that I do tend to splurge here and there, but I did work hard to get to where I am today. One day, decades from now I'm sure that you will earn your fair share of wealth and want to spend it! As you get older you will realize that with all the wealth that anyone accumulates we need to face the reality that our time on earth in limited! We can't bring money with us when we die, only memories. So as we get older we do splurge. BUt i try to keep it at a minimum as I too do not want to ruin the market for all the bros out there. BUt I do from time to time splurge a bit. but only a bit...

SEAN your time will come when you will splurge and empty your wallets out for a WG. it's just you are young right now and you can get the girls easily. but at my age i need to spend big money to play. you tend to spend more as you get older as girls are less attracted to you. FYI

Glad that someone is on my side on this one while everyone is on the sidelines staying neutral! I mean I'm not the world's richestperson out there, but after working almost 50 years I think that I should very well decide to spend my money anyhow I like it! AsI said my time on earth is limited, so I want to go out with a bang!

I want to "party like a rockstar" as you so well put it! I spend so much of my youth working my butt off for money, that I realize and regret this mistake! Youth in the end is something money can't buy! If i could do it all over again, I would party hard while I was young and work harder when I got older. I missed out on too much young chicks that I just want to make up for the lost times!

Every day is a buffet! Gotta make up for lost times! I'm sure that my splurging, just one guy won't ruin the entire market right guys?

While reading your little spat I began to think of my own situation, you may remember me as the 76year old guy.

I see myself in both of you [except for the 9'' dick].
Like you Sean I played very hard when I was young, and at your age 28/30 I ceased Mongering YES completely.
Here I am now in my later years having a second crack at it in a couple of weeks time [35 days actually  but whose counting].
So now its with great anticipation I step back onto the stage.Too old,knock backs from some of the WG's,failing to get it up who knows what lies ahead,but I will certainly keep you all informed in my reports.

AsnDragon, I think I am a couple of years up on you and I do understand were you are comming from but hey so long as we do the best we can,not hurt anyone along the way,make people happy spread the wealth a bit, we'll have no regrets.
