Personally I think the whole Karma thing is broken, and any criticism about this thread just demonstrates that.  But we have to live in the world we live in so...

My understanding of the whole purpose of Karma is to:
1. Reward people who contribute
2. Discourage lurkers who do not contribute
3. Protect our identity by raising the barrier of entry for people and search engines just a little bit.
4. Protect WG's identities by making it more difficult for their family and friends to stumble on their pics.

I guess it comes down to persuading people that this thread is a 'contribution'.

No we are not reviewing WG's in this thread, or posting pics of WG's that only the top echelon can view.

But we are encouraging new members, developing community.   More importantly for the owners of this board, we are keeping more NEW USER eyeballs on this site, and off the competition.

This site is not very growth friendly.  In a way that is good.  It keeps growth manageable so you don't have huge flame wars with people who are just parachuting in to stir up the shit.  On the other hand, you end up with a hierarchy where the people who have accumulated rank feel that they have some moral authority over other contributors.  That their words count for more.  Bullshit.  Their boats just have more barnacles.

The only thing that I will cede is that sometimes people get K's for less substance here than elsewhere.  But I have yet to see a good argument about why that is a bad thing.

Please don't K this.  A's are fine.  Maybe someone can neg K me one, so that nobody thinks I spend 20 mins banging out this response just to increment a stupid number on the screen!

And I thought it best/I at least owe it to you guys to now reveal to those of you who do not have access, as to what actually went on in the Senior’s thread/behind the scene which is the probable cause of these changes. Especially since it will probably mean the end of this thread.

I had commented on the Senior’s thread that Happppysex’s pictures of girls he had NOT actually done should be posted on the Erotica section; well, Goose and G-A-R-Y, Chief and Goon of the infamous Gang of 4 seized on this as their signal to start a full, concerted attack on me AND the Idle Chat thread – a scorched earth attack fully coordinated behind the scenes via the Go4’s Face book sharing network.

And just to give you a bit of background as to who the Go4 are – it originally started with Goose, Gary, Avatar and Happysex; Avatar have for all intents and purposes dropped out of the scene whilst Happpy had always just been an unwitting puppet behind master puppeteer Goose who also pulled the strings on Gary the Goon; this is my honest opinion but anecdotal evidence all points to this.

The Go4 started a couple or so years ago, when Goose wants to have ALL his say on forum affairs – always bleating and boasting about how he single-handedly built up the forum with his reports, and threatening MANY TIMES to stop reporting unless he gets his way. Yeah, he stopped reporting for a while but he invariably and time and time again, came back on JUST to try to get his way, seizing upon the tiniest reasons to cause turmoil on the boards. All this “holding of breath” took a sinister turn when the G04 organized themselves and made a quid pro quo agreement to surreptitiously grant each other massive Karma points on old reports which they thought would be under the Radar. Well, Sex141/admin discovered this and took the unilateral action of docking them all back down to Muskie Member status.

Like an idiot, I had been the one to FIRST start the appeal on this decision – yes that is how skilful a puppeteer Goose is! Anyway, with the involvement of many others here – all equally being manipulated behind the scenes by Goose and his Goon - we managed to get Admin to change his mind and only docked them 30% of their previous points. What a mistake I made – for not long after that, Goose et al were back on with their dirty tricks – only then, he was instead using ME as the patsy and each and every time using me as a lightning rod for his own nefarious agenda.

Then this latest salvo, in regards to Happpy’s pictures and my comments, but instead of just another kindergarten “hold my breath” tactic – they had gone on a full scale scorched earth attack….and they’ve got what they wanted!! Not even realizing that what they won is nothing but an empty triumph and what’s being handed to them is nothing more than a poisoned chalice. CONGRATULATIONS/LMAO!

I will be glad to entertain any questions/requests for further information, as I really do think you guys deserve a full explanation as to what had actually happened. But make it FAST – for as you know, the days are numbered for this and other threads which we had all enjoyed as part and parcel of the real sense of camaraderie that we HAD.

And lastly, thank you for being part of the fun, games, drama and etho of what the Idle chat thread is about.

If you don't mind - I want to reply publicly as to the reason for Goose wanting all this.

Its because he has been getting favours and whatever else from these agents....and I had exposed this whole sordid affair.

Goose, being the good customer he is of some of these agents (Mr. Shrek could only get girls he pays for !) had gotten these "favours" - like taking as long as he wants for his sessions, taking pictures of gals he don't have to pay for, priority/first crack at desirable gals, - and whatever else which I cannot yet pin point to. And oh yeah - Respect from these agents! Yeah - he's so much as stated that this is an important thing for him..."Respect"...from pimps!!  LMAO.

This is fine as far as I'm concerned and probably deserved....if it would stop right there!  But as it is, anecdotal evidence points out to the fact that these agents demanded...and got ... their quid pro quo payment in terms of the Go4 posting up pictures of the agent's gals on OUR forum; especially since they had already got their wings clipped on the Chinese side of the forum with the restrictions on only 1 NON-DSLR camera picture and further restrictions on their previous flagrant promotion of their own gals there.

Goose and Gary had even taken a stance AGAINST Twice in their latest salvo, practically demanding that Twice resign as a Mod. Of course - as the Mods had all along very sensibly realized what actually was going on and was trying their best to control the situation. (errr... kudos? Mods? Kudos???!!)

Anyway, this April fool's prank - whilst it DID make me shit in my own pants whilst laughing - does have the GREAT result of my being able to actually explain what all crap that Goose et al has been splattering all over our forum.  And of course their prime tirade was against OUR Idle Chat thread - demanding that I AND EVERYBODY ELSE involved in this thread be severely penalized, the thread shut down and my being banned from the forum.

You'll all sooner or later be able to determine for yourself what I write here as being the truth when you reach RA 50 and able to read the 3 Senior's threads - which I'm very confident most of you will eventually attain - and hopefully that this thread will at least have a small part to play for your own achievement.

Any and all questions here in regards to this matter will be addressed - and will be answered truthfully as far as I know it/my own POV.

As has been pointed out by several bros, if this thread goes away, it goes away.  I got along just fine before it started.  No harm, no foul.

HOWEVER, I'd like to say that it is this thread that I have bookmarked.  I ALWAYS come here first.  I enjoy the banter and the public sharing of (what I consider to be) useful information (OK not always, but most of the time).  I read reports to get a sense of places to go, how much they cost, etc, not because I have some voyeuristic need to read about other bro's sexual exploits.  And I have even got to the point where K's or no K's is not really what drives me.

To me, this thread is about community, not like all the other threads that are about individuals and how they were able to CIM, or screw three WG's at the same time, or whatever.

I will sad to see this thread go, if that is what it comes to.

But all this crap that Goose et al. has been throwing around has given me time to pause and consider what is the BEST NEXT DIRECTION For the Idle Chat Thread; after all, it HAS reached quite a few very notable milestones – including amongst the last ones, which actually is my personal wish - to see Twice, AT LAST, post on here!! LOL! It also has caused me to re-examine my actions/ponder if what I do on the forum as a whole is beneficial or a detraction; no, not any Grand Good Byes – not my style and certainly NOT my intention, but this last episode with Goose et al has made realize that this forum HAS taken away too much of my time and that I do need to re-prioritize my time/aims etc. Some of you know (by PM/Email etc  - and I hope some of you can corroborate) that all during the course of this latest Goose assault, I had been considering taking a way-more-back-seat approach on this thread, as well as on the forum as a whole. And it’s actually the Goon’s posting up of the definition of what a troll is on the Senior’s thread that had really made me sit up and pay attention. In it, the various personae of a troll is described and I said to myself

“……..Sean, half of the things there could easily describe you – it don’t matter that your intentions had always been pure, don’t matter that each and every time that you come down on anybody, that it WAS for just and good reason, and even if you always went ahead and fully explained your actions when you do such rebuke (either on the thread itself or on the Senior’s thread), all it takes is some idiot to just twist it all around for his own agenda and really make you out as the real bad guy. I mean, even those who only see the rebuke and not your explanations will think this……….!”  

Anyway, enough of THAT! What do I see/suggest for the Idle Chat thread?  That is of course if the Mods will still allow it to continue!!  LOL!

Well, I know for a fact that this thread does not need me or any particular person to make it continue to thrive AND contribute to the forum as a whole – and in fact, it’s probably bad that I HAD been as involved in it as I have been. Fact of the matter is that anytime I had been away, all you guys just merrily AND properly kept things rolling along! And so, I probably will NOT be making as many “visits” here as before – except of course if I DO see abuse or IF IMHO, I THINK things are starting to spin out of control. Secondly, I will NOT be making automatic Karma grants to each post – although I will still continue to so grant if I think a particular post IS worthy of such or if I sense that it’s a newbie/newish member who want to get a bit of a push towards more active participation on our forum. And thirdly I do hope/expect that you all will also play a part when you see ANY abuses against forum rules/conventions here. I ain’t gonna be around at all times like I was in the past no more – sorry!

I – and I would think others here too – will appreciate your own POV/Suggestions/constructive criticism in regards to OUR thread and so, I open the floor to all of you. The Mods have always been very reasonable, and I would think/hope that if they see that we ARE temperate/mature/sensible that they will have all the more reason to allow us to still contribute to the sense of belonging on this forum.
