You'll need to be more specific about the sort of girls you want, walk-ups, hotel girls, overnighters, models and how often you would want to punt.

i am interested in hotel girls, overnighters and models.

i want to punt every day or second day, i am too from Sydney so i guess any attractive girl will do for me but with good service.

Care to give me some of your experience in Hong Kong?

I need to find a affordable accommodation too.
Just like to have a general overview, is there anything i can read to educate myself on Hong Kong?

Is this US dollars we are talking about...

Technically 50,000 Hong Kong dollars will be more than enough to satisfly your cardinal carvings for a month....

You don't have to change the whole lot into HK dollars straight away, unless you plan to travel to HK regularly in the future. You might like to first change half your budgeted amount to HK dollars, and buy the rest in travellers cheques, or you might just use your VISA/Mastercard at an ATM in HK to get cash when you are running low.

Korea would be a lot more expensive. You can easily blow US$1,000 if you went to a Room Salon. Suggest you go to Macau as well. You'll get everything you'll need in Macau, 24 hours a day!

After airfare, hotel is next expensive expense.

It would be also nice if you told us what type of hotel, 2,3,4,5 star hotels. Staying at hotels is expensive in HK. I usually stay at 3-4 star hotels. I would not suggest staying at a place under 3 stars. A 3-4 star would be about 90 to 170 USD a day. For one month, that is about 2700 to 5100 USD.  The price depends on where and when you are planning to arrive.

Exactly. Unless you are working for the Mafia and need to change your 'dirty' money, there is no need to carry it all in cash. Seeing as you are talking about a months worth, I don't see the need to carry such a large amount of cash.

I've never bothered to research the "best" money changer, but I generally get the same rate (or even slightly better at ATM's) so in terms of exchange rate there is no real benefit to carrying cash (but I stand to be corrected...)

Also, while hotels may offer some discount for cash, you might find an even cheaper rate with some of the online booking websites.

And, this is really just being a bit lazy, bro. As Twice has already said, the reports generally include costs, or failing that the gals ads do! I recon you could just do the maths yourself...

are you really coming to HKG?

Clearly by looking at reports as suggested by other Bros above already, you can get an idea of cost.

Lets say you do a combination of Hotel Girls and Bar Girls inc a few over nighters, your average punt will cost you about HK$1200.
Say 15 punts a month = HK$18,000

Hotel will cost you anything from HK$500 / night for something very mediocre to HK$2,000 / night for 4.5 STAR. You may be able to do a monthly rate with an apartment which could reduce your costs to somewhere around HK$10,000 month.
Allow HK$20,000 / month

Food cost depends on what you like to eat, you could eat on HK$100 / day or HK$1,500 / day depending on what and where.
Allow HK$30,000 / month

Transportation in HK is cheap, HK$2,000 / month MAX including some ferry rides, Underground Train (MTR) and a few taxis.

Telecommunications could be anything from HK$1,000 / month to $3,000 / month. This depends on your use and what you need, Blackberry, just calls, internet etc???

So, total cost around HK$72,000 / month.

Of course you could reduce that dramatically primarily by adjusting where you live and what you eat. You could also double it with little difficulty.

Still coming?

agree

seems like it would be easy for him to find all this information by looking in the DB for the type of girls and just adding up the coast by the amout of visitss. then just check hotels.com for hotel cost.

If it was me i would want to research this myself.

I usually budget US$500 a day on vacation if I plan to go buckwild. Otherwise I'd say $250-300 a day would be sufficient for a good time. Lotsa fun = lotsa $$$$

why lug so much cash?  I go to the atm as there are banks all over HK.

If you wanna save a few bucks or go to HK often, just make sure you have an account with a large institution to save on fees....like HSBC

If you had $5000US ( or access to it, ATM machines work just fine), which would give you about $38,000hk for two months,  or about $633hk per day, over 60 days.  For that, you could hit a lower cost walkup pretty much every day (if you kept it under 600) and still have enough for some fish balls.

Otherwise, you could look at maybe 2 Macau trips a week for 8 weeks, and do the Sauna thing and come out okay on that level of cash.

It all depends on what you want.  Exchange rate now is 7.75, realistically 7.6 in the open market.  So just take your 5k, multiple it out, and enjoy reading the reviews that will tell you what you can and cannot afford.

60 straight days of shagging WG would pretty much do you in... ;)

the walk-ups can go for $200HKD or LESS!...  then you'd have more than enough cash to spare for girls & shopping haha

Geez for $200 in hk your really scraping the bottom of the barrel. I mean you come half way accross the world and spend like a backpacker. I still reckon quality over quantity.
