If you are talking about the walk ups - as oppsed to hotel resevations - its pretty easy, but don't expect most of these ladies to speak english.  If its a walk up you will need to just show up and use sign language.  Be prepared with sevral choices in case your firstchoice is busy.  Frankly I am not sure about Hotel Resevations

Yes, basically that is the case.  

There are few that do speak a little English.  Sometimes under “Race” they may mention language ability with English – but you will often find they do not have their phone number listed.  You may be able to search around for one that speaks English and has listed her phone number, but this will limit you to a pretty small sub set of the total availability.   

Most will not speak English – remember this is China.  Normally you just show up.  It is best to have a few back ups, unless you can wait around awhile.  I think the Hotel reservations may be better at booking ahead by phone.  Don’t be mislead – generally you go to their hotel instead of bringing them back to your place – if that is what worries you.

Either way, just jump in and be a little flexible. It is not that difficult.  Really you should not have much trouble getting laid in Hong Kong. Good luck

Start with the walk-ups, they know what you're there for....no language needed.  If you call them, they will call you back from caller id.  Learn a few words in Cantonese, like "now"- yee gaa, "OK?" - ho/m'ho.  If you meet one you want to revisit, get her mobile phone number and sms her the time you want.

Given that most of the walk-ups, and almost all of the Hotel Res girls, are from somewhere on the Mainland and speak Mandarin, why advise the guy to learn Cantonese?

2 wear clean clothes and dress neatly
3 take an address of your choice and several backups
4 knock on door when the sign says "welcome" , if it says "please wait" then move on
5 when the door opens, smile and say "do show chien"
6. go in, take off clothes, shower, do the deed, pay and leave
7 repeat

I would add for novice gwailos, after you ask the question, "do show chien" the girl will hold up several fingers. Multiply fingers time HKD 100 to get your price. Tipping is not required but I usually found up 20 when the price is 380, 480, etc. Most girls will give you change for a 500.
