If I get a local sim (let's say pccw), and use it in to set appointment w/ hg or house call, whether it pushes through or not, will they still call afterwards?  I'm afraid to receive unexpected calls from them and have my wife picked up the phone when I'm asleep or taking a shower.

It won't matter as you'll be using your regular number for above-board calls.

#25 Post at 21-2-2011 06:18  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L I am in the same boat as the OP. I also read that I can subscribe for a short time to a wifi carrier which will give me intrnet access throughout Hk  and the rate was very reasonable.. Might be something to look into.

#26 Post at 26-2-2011 02:19  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L As soon as I arrived in HK I bought a SIM card($48) and 30 days wifi ($152(6?)), both from PCCW I don't know about the others but I didn't like the PCCW wifi..  The spots and the coverage are very limited.. Is there any other (and better) wifi provider in HK?
