Well ill be heading back to Hong Kong to spend my time in summer, and i was wondering how you can tell if a girl is talking to you to be friendly or if shes a work girl there? Like pretend i head down to the bar and girls show interest in me, how do i know if shes persuading me to pay her for sex or trying to hook up with me legitimately?

Just assume all the girls talking to you are working girls and you'll have to pay eventually (monetary or not) and it'll be a win-win situation.

I know nothing about the HK bar scene but in life friend 99.9% of them are working for the gold ring. just my $.02 worth. You will pay so try and enjoy.

If you're ugly and a smoking hot girl comes up to you, it's fair to say it's a WG

Just kidding - fair to assume she's a WG, so you won't be disappointed later.

Test her every step of the way, ask her some questions related to money. This is your starting point, if she she's a WG, she'll definitely bite in to your bait. IMHO.

Easy, if she is particularly interested in either dirty talk or touching your lalala, it's a WG. If she is interested into you (i.e. are you a banker???) she is a gold digger. And very seldom can you find a girl who is actually not only looking for the money + you don't usually meet those girls in the bars.

go to a punting Bar in Wan Chai such as Neptune 2 or Escape... Details in the Bar Guide sticky in the CHAT section. If you go around 11pm, any almost girl you find that isn't serving drinks is looking for sex of some kind and the overwhelming majority are WGs. You'll find it quite easy to differentiate.

Depends where and which bar at what time.

if you are in china 99.9its 50-50% of the time its most likely to be WG, but in hong kong it is 50-50 50 because the girl might be a triad member's GF lol i've ran into a spot of bother but luckily i knew him , well his boss is one of my dad's mate

Dude. how can you not tell or how can you tell? There is no way to go all in w/ a prejudice.  You either have to take a chance or give time to discover.

Where you are is a very strong cue, yes.  
There are some bars that a decent girl wouldn't be seen dead in, precisely because she doesn't want to be asked "how much do you cost?" every time a new guy walks in ...
... and you can EASILY tell if it's that sort of bar, by just walking in and buying a drink ...

if a girl:-
  asks you for a drink
  offers you sex
  starts stroking your dick
  asks you for money
you know it is indeed "that" sort of bar, one where nice girls don't bother to show up in.  You're free to play.  

Other bars, it's harder to tell, and my advice would be to ASSUME she's not a WG.  
That way, you're safe

because

if she is not a WG, you know the signals are all real, and you can respond like a gentleman should, OR
if she IS a WG, for sure she will ask you for money before leaving the place with you, so you know where you stand, OR   
if she is a WG and doesn't ask for money until after the deed, you simply say (correctly) you never agreed to pay anything and assumed she wanted you, OR
if she is a WG she might just be looking for a BF and have chosen you for a freebie ...

Only issue is that grey area where bar girls try to get guys to buy lots of lady drinks but intend never to take it any further.  That's another situation, but you know what to do!

In my personal experience:

2 out of 3 serious girlfriends allowed anal sex, from around twice a month to twice a week.

1 out of 2 fuck buddies allowed anal sex on special occasions.

These were for those girls that I tried to get anal. I didn't try with the other civvies so my sample size is not very big. Have yet to meet a 141 (HG & walk-up) girl who allows anal though have met many European and Thai escorts (in Europe) who do allowanal.

That's about right.

100% record on fuckbuddies allowing anal.

20% record on gfs allowing anal for me.

0% with WGs - haven't tried.

Ya know a good trick with women in bar (WG or Civvie)?  Assume they are all working!  That they want your business even more than you want them.  I don't mean be cocky or rude, I mean be CONFIDENT!  It works more than any advice you'll hear from anyone.
