Seriously how safe is night life in HK?? cause I live in sydney at the moment and I'm planning to visit HK very soon?

Shouldn't have any problem at all, unless you be an ass and mis-treat girls, or piss of some local gangsters... otherwise, no one should bother you at all.

HK is absolutely the safest city I have ever lived or traveled to.   Just mind your own business and don't piss off any Nepalese bouncers (they are fierce when they need to be!)

Never been robbed in HK.  Though given how crowded some places are and how drunk one can get, I'd be careful of muggers and watch the pockets.  That's about it.  You don't give trouble, you won't get trouble.

Came back from my first trip to HK a couple of weeks ago. I had no problems at all. Some nights I would have a craving for maccas and would walk the 10 minutes from my hotel and I felt very safe. This would be 1-3am in the mornings. If anything, the locals would be more weary of tourists. Have a good trip.

HK is the safest city I've ever been/lived in, the so-called cities in Scotland are a joke, you could be walking down one street and some ned will start a fight with you. Granted I used to be in the police so I know how to wrestle/deck them in xD

Never had a single problem in Hong Kong and I have been out at all hours in mostly Mongkok and Nathan areas.  Macau is the same, very safe to walk around.

While were sort of on topic, what's the most dangerous city to punt in then?  I would imagine Rio in Brazil might be a freaky place, but I've never been there myself.

Have no idea about the south america but, Phils does not belong to safe zones for sure.I was told by some filipina ladies that i can be attacked by some burglars even for just having something bulging in my pockets.Some ladies earrings were ripped off from their ears.Pretty sick stuff.I was advised not to even walk in certainareas like Colon in Cebu even during daytime.

As a foreigner, i was quite amused how some people get concerned before visiting HK, Singapore etc.Singapore is safer than any part of USA or Europe.Japan, Korea,Macau, HK also very safe.Considering the corruption, prostitution, drug usage and lack of central authority even Thailand is safe.If a place like Pattaya happens in my country, they will be carrying out the corpses each morning with trucks.

HK is totally safe. Tokyo, Singapore as well. You're never going to get in any trouble in these places unless you bring trouble with you. No excuse for being stupid in these places, but as long as you act reasonably smart, you'll be fine.

The least safe I feel punting, honestly, is in the states. Gangs, drugs, and the constant fear that you are gonna get busted by LE. I pretty much just quit. The crappy lays I was getting at double or triple the cost of Asia, and with the added fear of getting busted... Just not worth it.

i've wandered around the dark streets of Mongkok at 3 A.M. with no issues (where some the street walkers are ). It is very safe.

I would say some cities in Mexico are some of the most dangerous.

Intense is right on.  I have been to HK many times at all kinds of freaky hours and had zero problems.  I have had a few people tossed out of bars in Wanchai for being stoned off their ass and scaring the girls I was with, but it was never a problem.  I could of handled it myself, but just easier to motion for the bouncer, tell him to get this arse out of here because he is wasted and scaring the girls.  Every one of them has been walked out.

I quit the US scene as well because of the exact same reasons given above.  L.E., insane freaking prices for one hour in some hotel room and it was always very difficult to find a GFE type of girl.  There is only one girl of all my punts in the US that I would of repeated and she was a Brazilian.

HK, love the babes, prices and party atmosphere.  Of course I am an Asian loving man whore so I am biased.

leave valuables in the safe in your hotel, only take the cash you plan to spend anyway, and don't flash bling gratuitously. But, seriously, you would need to be outrageously wealthy to be able to dress in a way that attracts much attention in HK ... way too many people are ... outrageously wealthy that is ...

Hong Kong has the highest ratio of police / inhabitant in the world, it also has the first (and may still be the only) Independent Commission Against Corruption, and was (literally) cleaned up during SARS ...

it's the only city in the World where I would consider walking down a dark alley alone after 1am ...

Hong Kong is absolutely safe.  I've walked everywhere in the dead of night.  And I mean EVERYWHERE, including the super quiet 141 clusters in Sheung Shui where after 11pm, there is hardly a soul on the streets.

About 6 months ago, I lost my camera in Hong Kong and went to the police station in Central to file a report so I can claim insurance.  I was there 10am on a Sunday morning.  I was the only one there.  Crime is so low in Hong Kong, the cops almost have nothing to do.  I was in and out in 5 minutes.

I can't remember the last time I read a news story about anyone being murdered in HK.

The only "trouble" you might get is if you're a white guy walking down Nathan Road in Tsimshatsui.  You might have Indian tailors pestering you to buy a suit.  That is it.


I don't think that's a problem in Hong Kong because plenty of Hong Kongers flash their valuables in public (Ipads, DSLR cameras, Iphones, handheld video games, etc).

ARRRGGGHHH   I hate those FECKERS!!  Boss copy watch, suit, handbag.  I just give them the dont F with me look and it ends real quick.  Last time I had my drop dead gorgeous 12/10 Pinay with me when some dipshit says copy watch.  I laughed and said mine is real.  She got a good laugh out of it.  God I love Asian women!!!

Yes, I hate walking down TsimTsaTsui area of Nathan road.  I get bugged to buy shit all the time.  Fucking annoying. I find some of the more better priced and decent girls around the YauMaTei and Mongkok area.  No businessmen bugging you, but in Mongkok at night some the younger guys and gals on the street doing whatever sales may come up and try to sell.
