America is only culturally diverse in a few main cities. Probably less than 1% of the whole US. If you come to NYC, Boston, Philadelphia you will see the diversity, you travel a few miles outside of the city, it's a whole different story. When I go a few miles north and west of NYC, I get referred to as "you guys" and they don't mean NYers. Same thing in the West Coast, a few major cities then the rest is redneckville. 99% of the US is not culturally diverse,
More baseless, off the top of his head, exaggeration from sexpert.
Even granting the truth of what he says about attitudes towards non-white peoples, whites only account for about 63% of the US population (excluding Latinos of all races), and a majority of all Americans live in large cities or their immediate suburbs. If you sum the populations of very racially diverse cities such as NYC, LA, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, etc., you already account for more than 10% of the US population, so that 1% figure is nonsense.
The US
is a remarkably diverse place; sure you can still find a lot of racist rednecks - the voting base of the Republican party, for instance - but these people are themselves a minority.
btw, tho many rural white Americans may be ignorant about Asian races and cultures,
very few people in the States feel any animosity towards Asians.
