Gong Li was a beauty back in the day but she hasn't aged well and looks too matronly nowadays.

Michelle Reis from age 25-35 is/was the most beautiful Chinese woman in the whole world and is the gold standard.  My tastes runs for the women who are now in their late 30's and 40's but I'm going back a few years, so I would include girls such as Charlie Yeung (楊采妮), Athena Chu (朱茵), and CBC Christy Chung (鍾麗緹).  Michelle Yeoh (楊紫瓊) I guess I can throw in there as well.  Note that these are just based on face only, though for Athena I'd throw in the body as well.

She might not be your type, but how can you possibly say that Lucy Liu is ugly? That's just ridiculous.

Lucy Liu is fucking ugly,... hate to say it but only a non-Asian would find that thing attractive!

We are from the same old school, Athena Chu will always be my favorite but don't forget Ellen Chan, Lee Lai Jun, Wen Bik Ha, and of course Verionica Yip Yuk Hing.  I don't think there is one Asian guy who finds Lucy Liu attractive,... but all my non-Asian friends thinks that she is a Goddess... go figure!

Christy Chung was always a favorite too.  I swear that bitch's eyes would sparkle!

Well that partly explains it. Those are 2 things that westerners actually find attractive - not ugly. Funny world.  

You'd think from reading this thread that all Chinese guys agree on what is and isn't beautiful. Makes you sound like a bunch of clones, instead of the eccentric group of individuals I know you to be; and it certainly doesn't explain all the good-looking Chinese guys I see walking around with very plain GFs/wives.

btw, Lucy Liu may not be the most beautiful Chinese girl in the world, but much of what is said about her is motivated more by dislike for her as a person than an objective appraisal of her looks.

Actually, as an individual Lucy Liu is pretty cool.  She is pretty much down to earth and not stuck up at all. But from a physical standpoint, she is downright repulsive.  I know it's not ALL Chinese guys who think this, but a majority of Asians really don't find her attractive.  You can go into any Asian fan site and you will the same thing repeated over and over again by Asian males and females alike.  I don't know how to explain it.  You could run two polls, non-Asians do you find Lucy Liu attractive"?  Asians, do you find Lucy Liu attractive?  I am pretty sure you will end up seeing polar opposites.

I don't think he explained it correctly, in Cantonese we would call her face,... CHEE CHEE NGOY NGOY...  not exactly the words for retarded, but somewhat distorted, sort of like an Asian version of down syndrome.  She has a very typical China country-life bumpkin face.  Absolutely nothing remarkable, which not only makes her a plain jane, but an ugly plain jane.  I hope the other Asian brothers can help me out here...  am I getting close to the description on why we don't find her attractive?

I don't have any problem with the "don't find her attractive" part of your post, but there is no way in hell she could be considered "repulsive" or "the ugliest Asian woman alive".

American men Married to Asian (Taiwanese/Chinese) women.
Near all the Women are on the shorter side and of a darker complexion than is considered normal.
near half I would say (while chinese) could pass for Thai or Filipino given the skin tone.

there is certainly some anthropological thesis in here somewhere.

While not a 100% i notice a significant enough distribution to warrant further study.

But dude, she really is repulsive.  I am a pretty horny guy, I've fucked some pork chops in my lifetime but I don't think I could get it up with Lucy Liu.  There is really something repulsive and distorted about her face.  I am not the only one who says this.  It is a very Asian viewpoint.  It's not as easy as saying Rosanne Bar is nasty because she is fat.  Lucy Liu has a smoking hot body but her face, I can't get past that nasty face.

I think I'm more concerned with body than the rest of you guys, because I like Lucy Liu's body. Her face, however, is repulsive.

Sexpert and JeSun: I'm glad I don't know you guys in person, because if I did, we'd always be fighting over the same women.

You are right man...  there is a running joke amongst the Chinese here in New York City.  If a woman is ugly, or a bit older... people will say "she will never get married, unless it's a gwai-lo or Lo fahn"  I've heard this shit from my grandmother, mother, all other family members, friends, friends families, Fujianese, Taiwanese, Toisanese, Hokkien, Shanghainese, Sichuan, Beijing, you name the Chinese province or city that people came from you will hear the same exact shit.  Even my Korean and Japanese friends have the same running joke.  And you know what?  A majority of the ugliest female Chinese classmates ended up marrying non-Asians...  even my wife was joking about it just yesterday as she went through my facebook classmates pictures.  I just believe that Non-Asians have a way different view on Asian women than Asians do.  Even when I look through reviews, and pics that bros share, most of the women are very pretty but none more beautiful than Nicole, the one that Bro Goose put up.  From an Asian eye, she is the hottest girl I've ever seen on 141, but a lot of non-asians may not feel the same.  A majority of the Asian bros here should agree, although im not positive.
