So I haven't been on the forums in a while, but I could really use some help from the bros.

I recently moved to Zhuhai, and am looking for places to 'eat'. Macau is good but I was hoping to find places closer and cheaper. Unfortunately it seems like everything here has gone dry, covert, pricey and lacking in quality. I'm hoping that's just my experience so far.

Any bros have better luck? What are some good places to go mongering in Zhuhai? Anyone willing to show me to a good joint?

You get +5K automatically for posting in the REPORTS section which is meant for REPORTS, which is stated clearly. Since this is not a report, it was rightfully moved to the NON-REPORT section and the +5 is reversed.

Chill, bro.  Kaleu was just doing what all mods do these days to reverse the auto 5Ks reports sections give to new threads. Even if he'd asked you move it, he'd have to remove the Ks in same way. It's a clumsy system for sure, but it's what was agreed. Gives mods something tedious to do, I guess.

Why do we have the automatic 5k for reports? I doubt very much that is a big enough incentive for people to post a report and it seems to create more work for mods and confusion / misunderstanding for bros who have not been online for sometime.

It is almost daily I see mods having to reverse Ks. Bro Kaleu has done nothing wrong here and is operating under the rules.

I just think the 5k mean nothing to people posting reports and it causes unnecessary work. True members will post reports and not worry about K counts.

I am interested in other bros opinions?

@obe @Thaidelight - I used to be a mod here. Left the forum because it was just a buncha egos rubbing themselves against each other. The only real reason is to come for the reports by c-hings anyway, so now I just log on and give out karma for reports with photos. No point being part of the man-drama here. Or as I like to call it, mdrama.

For those who don't need the Ks (like you and me), this is probably true.  Newbies and musky members do care since they want to progress to the next levels.  I think you have raised a valid point concerning the potential misunderstanding caused when bros see the negged K and the thumbs down next to their thread.  I think it's a great idea to encourage reports and the automatic K thing is one way of doing this.  That said, I wonder how many bros actually realise they are getting 5K automatically...  Does the incentive to post due to the automatic Ks outweigh the agitation caused by having the automatic K negged?  That's something worth considering.  Regarding the automatic acceptance ratings for the non-report sections, I have often wondered why somebody should get 5 acceptance points for asking a question (ie seeking help) in QA section while the person responding (ie helping out) gets the usual 1 acceptance point.  That's my only concern.


For me, there's no point rehashing thoughts here that were stated in #37 and 42 http://forum.sex141.com/eforum/v ... page%3D4&page=3 .  If you still have concerns regarding this, it might be best to raise them in feedback and suggestions, rather than allowing them to surface here.  I don't think I am alone in saying that your opinions are valued, though I much rather read all the sordid details of the WGs you do the nasty with.

While I agree the forum has become a bit to serious and lost focus on why we are here we must have rules to follow.
If we had no rules the forum would be a shambles. ISG forum is a good example of that!

I can see that there isn't as much joking around and "hanging out" as happened a few years ago.

Meanwhile, bros use the forum to find girls and learn about punting cities and methods around the world. Then they try them out. Then they write reports for other bros. Other bros leave comments, and here we are.

The focus may well have changed, and it may well be for good reasons or not -- it all happened before my time. But ... lost focus? Hardly. There are good reasons why this is the top English language board for this region.

A lot can be said for SEAJ old thread which promoted discussion between bros.

Perhaps we need a thread in talk is cheap where we can talk about anything and it is not specific to a thread title? The conversation between bros can change topic.
Have it award no As and Ks so it doesn't get abused like the SEAJ thread.

If we don't interact with one another the forum will become boring.

I feel bad that Bro English thread has been hijacked so I will just summarize my thoughts about the forum.

1) Remove the auto 5K - This can avoid confusion and will reduce the work loads on mods. AS CL said it is a clumsy system.
2) Find a way to promote more interaction between bros rather than reading their conquers.
3) Nurture and support Newbies so they can move through the ranks while understanding the rules
4) Understand a Newbie may have 10 fold the punting experience of a Master Mongerer. The more information the more we benefit.
5) All uptight Bros go fuck a WG this week and report on it! You will feel better for it.
