Crossing border at Shekou

Anyone know how late the border closes between HK and Shekou?  My flight doesn't arrive till 7PM.  I'm wondering if I have enough time to cross over to SZ from HK airport into Shekou.  How long does it usually take to go from HK airport across to Shekou.  I would appreciate any insights/pointers.  Thanks

Looks like 21:45 is the last sailing so as long as your flight is on time you should have no problem catching a ferry to Shekou.
Ferry takes 30 minutes but when you purchase your ticket they have to allow time for their staff to collect your luggage and get it to the ferry so they will not sell you a ticket for the next sailing but the one after.

Ferry

Note:  Although you may be able to catch the ferry, your bags require one hour minimum.  So if you want to catch the (just numbers) 7 pm ferry and want your bags transferred from the plane to the ferry, you need to check into the ferry by 6 pm.  That way they can retrieve your bags from your flight and get them on the ferry.  Of course if you are hand carrying it is no problem.  I had to miss a ferry for just this problem so I hope it helps.

Thank for you the info.  I will be flying back (leaving from HK airport) around 10 AM.  If I were to stay in Shekou the night before, will that give me enough time to catch the flight?  In other words, does anyone know how early do the boats operate?  If anyone has a link to the boat/ferry site, that would be great.  Much appreciated.

First ferry is 7:45am which makes thing tight unless you are flying with one of the airlines that let you check in in Shekou.
