2 policemen are blocking the fuji entrance, same with the other place. What happened?

I noticed this earlier. I walked back past Hop Yee building about 10 minutes ago - still 2 cops outside and they were talking to a girl and a guy - looked like a WG and a bro but not sure. Looked like the police were asking for documents. Maybe cracking down on overstayers.

Just passed by Fuji, about 4 policemen outside and clearly no customers entering the building.

Visa checks should only take a couple of hours, could this be the first signs of a crackdown here in HK as well?

This is just a guess, but are they doing a crackdown . (VISA checks) because of the upcoming holidays?

is there anything for bros to be afraid of?  can LE go after bros caught with WG with an expired visa?

An incident happened in Hop Yee last week. Rumored to be a plain cloth policeman got beaten up by the keepers there. An ambulance was called and the police promptly shut down both Hop Yee and Fuji

Happened to me once.  In a small apartment, main entrance off Temple St (eastern side).  Did the deed, went to step out the door and a couple of young (mid 20s) plain-clothes police flashing IDs stopped me.

Merely wanted to know where I was staying.  

The WG was on a tourist visa (non-working, no income allowed), and would be deported to Shenzhen, and her visa marked "not allowed into HK again" (or something similar).

LE are in a difficult legal situation, which is why Temple Street and Shanghai Street have 100s of working girls: how do you prove "income"?

Darn I was looking forward to experiencing a walk up at Fuji. I'll be staying In Wan Chai for the first time, so now it seems like  the Fuji is not a safe bet. Where else can I go? Sorry if this is the wrong place.

this is god damn bullshit, i just went over to Fuji today to see the punker girl reported a few days ago, got her contact and was about to head up when i saw this big ass police van parked outside fuji entrance. no problem i thought, but then there were 2 young police officers standing in front of the damn entrance. the WG texts me that it's ok and just tell them that ur here to walk around, but i'm like, yo i got a friend who just joined the police academy and we have pics up on facebook, and those 2 police officers guarding fuji looked super young and i'm pretty certain they may know each other.

wg tells me that they've been here since the 22nd, guards the entrance 24/7. yes, 24 fucking 7. i told her i'd have to come back another day (rescheduled to 29th) but if the damn cops are still there, there's no way i'd risk exposing myself there.

sad for the people working at fuji. the punker girl is basically pretty damn hot, she sent me a photo and i did knock on her door last week when i saw sweet (i should write that report up), so i really do want to see this girl. but not with these damn cops around!

p.s. she did tell me that she hasn't really had any clients this week, so business must be hurting really bad. oh and funny thing, i see like 5-6 dudes around red circle, across the street, end of the street, just "casually" checking out the cops from afar, with their phones out. so bloody obvious that their punters who's scared af to go up.

That sucks because it shows that LE can basically kill the business of a whole cluster of *legal* WGs just by their presence, not good.

There had to have been an big incident for the le to spend so much man power doing this, the anti triad usual way of turning the screws on a joint is to cut off supply of the joint's customers … so bro satisfaction's info is highly probable

BTW the le presence there is to deter, you can enter the building without problems, at most the may ask for id

Does anyone know just wtf happened?  Undercover police guy got beat up by enforcers?  Was he making doing visa checks and some of the junior enforcers tried to teach him a lesson by hospitalising him? Then LE trying to prove a point that they won't get intimidated?

Anyone know if this has happened before and how long it usually lasts?  Or is that the death knell for Fuji?

According to this article, there has been increased crackdowns happening since September.
Because of politics.   

I'm staying in a hotel near CWB, and it definitely sucks that Fuji and a few other buildings are basically locked down.

I can say that the Phoenix apartment in CWB doesn't have cops there.
I'm wondering where else to go for girls though (preferably younger ones)...  Like great places in Wan Chai.

Or should I head over to the Hing Loong mansion in Sheung Wan?

Okay, good news.  Fuji and hop yee cops, are all gone and it's open for business.  Although be warned if LE really wanted to fuck them over, it could be they left to lure people back in and then raid at peak hours.

Some more details about the "incident" from one of the WGs I just visited in Fuji. Obviously it's all word of mouth so should be taken with a grain of salt.

Supposedly there was a plain clothes policeman in Hop Yee on the 22nd, who went in as a regular punter, got serviced, and when it came time to pay he claimed he was an undercover cop and then tried to check the girl's visa (after being serviced).  The WG thought he was bluffing and was trying to get a freebie.  So she called the guys who run the place and they sent 4 enforcers round and hospitalised the guy.

The police reacted with a raid and nabbed two of the enforcers, but two others got away, so they camped out at Hop Yee and Fuji.  the police left late last night and I just went for a punt at Fuji.  Not many WGs back yet, but there were punters flooding the halls.  As I walked out, the line for the lift was down down the stairs and to the street, with more bros still coming in.  If I didn't know better I'd have thought it was a whores R' us closing down sale.

However only very few WGs actually open at Fuji right now (less than 10), but those who are working are raking it in.  Will probably take a few days to return to normal as word spreads that the punters have returned and they arrange for More WGs.

Another funny story my girl told me was that the police normally leave the Russian / Ukranian chicks alone - because they're a nightmare to process (I.e. Don't speak Chinese) and need extra paperwork to go through the Russian embassy to deport.

I was just there from 3 till about 5 and police presence was absent at that time.  Could be that cops are being tactical about it and only squeezing during prime punting times.  Would be more efficient than maintaining a 24/7 presence and the uncertainty of periodic visits is probably more damaging than shutting it down completely

from your story, it seems like they aren't squeezing any punters, just looking for the guys who beat up the undercover cop.

It seems plausible since punters have reported no problems as of yet.

Also very interesting about russian/ukranians as it seems from the reports, they have been growing in numbers and popping up in new spots.
