Burner / telegram for punting?
Hi guys, been a while. Bunkered down with no punting during most of Covid, only got out and about the past month or two with very little interesting things to report. One thing I noticed when dusting off the burner wechat account was that lots of agents have moved on and lots of places have shut down. I used to enjoy using wechat for punting because it was common in mainland first of all, and second of all it was easy to switch to the burner account as needed, and could keep my 'main' clean and nothing incriminating on the phone. After a friend got busted by his gf after some agent started messaging him randomly with a bomb of a bunch of half naked pics, it seemed like a necessity to keep things to a burner. However, with HK's new bans on SIM cards without personal registration, how many of you guys are still using burners?
I saw from the recent reports most stuff happens on telegram these days. Just want to ask how did you guys set this up? Do you guys link to your main phone number, or have a side phone/phone number for the telegram app? How often do you get random messages? Still wondering how useful it is, because no one I know actually uses this app except for punting, and didn't want to seem too suspicious having it on the phone.
