I understand that usually walk-up WG are Chinese because of the whole visa thing but since there's Thai and Russian walk-up WG i assume there's some leeway. Which makes me wonder if any bros have ever encountered pinay girls in a walk-up setup? If yes, is there a district/building where they usually work? I have been punting in HK for about 10 yrs (on and off ) pun intended !   As far as I am aware there doesn't seem to be , nor can I recall any Filipino girls working in walk ups. No idea why , as you say there are Russian girls and others ....... There are plenty of Filipino girls working in HK but most are " bar girls" or advertising their services on Craigslist Or back page .... Etc. Unlike western visitors they get as little as 14 days visa.  With that you would be much better off to work the bars than walk-ups Domestic helpers are a different story. I believe they need to stay (overnight) with their employers and only have Sunday off.  That makes it impossible to work walk-ups. So they had out on Sundays to party, some looking for some money on the side.

I assume they are more comfortable with a system they are familiar with. Also most who recruit in the Philippines for Hong Kong are recruiters for the bars only.
