141 Walk-up

This is my first post.  I am coming to HK (from Canada) in November for 10 days, and plan to visit a lot of walk-ups.  Thanks to the wealth of info this forum provides, I think I have everything figured out.  However, I have a question about the cleanliness of the shower facilities at these places.  Do they provide clean towels and liquid soap?  How do the girls launder a large amount of towels everyday?  Do you guys bring your own towels?

Honestly it really depends on the room. If you knock and see that the room is a dump, chances are the shower won't be that nice. However most normal walk ups the showers are honestly fine. They have hot water and clean towels and shower gel.  They launder the towels.

I don't know anyone who brings their own towels unless there are some bros out there that do??  That'd be a first time for me

....They launder the towels....

I assume these places are too small to be equipped with washers & dryers.  Now I have this image in my head of the girls carrying a big load of used towels home to launder!

Unlike the spas in North America which are large enough to have several washer and dryers, most places in HK contract out their laundry services. Once you get here, visit any appliance store and take a look at the washers and dryers that are sold there. They are tiny! So any business that needs fresh supply of towels daily will have to contract it out.

Another example is here in HK, most restaurants/cafes do not have ice making machines, space is valuable real estate. They get their ice from ice suppliers who can deliver to them 24/7.

I have a friend that brings that is very picky about hygiene. He literally brings own towel ( the small swimming towels), soap and condoms. He even buys the stockings and pay the WG to wear it.

That's what I call professional!!!

That ...

Wow...bringing stockings to have the WG wear sounds like a good idea!

It's been a while since I last got on this board.
I too will be visiting HK and surroundings very soon. So I'm here doing some research and learn how things work here.

dave, by any chance you are from the Toronto area? If you are you can hit me up on the terb board so we can exchange notes. I'm more active there under the same handle. I'm also on perb and merb, tho I rarely login on the latter two.

Regarding towels, here in Canada, I keep a gymbag in the trunk of my car so I'll have it with me most of the time and can grab it if I need it. It'll be awkward to carry a backpack/gymbag around town since I'm assuming you won't be driving a car while in HK.
