I get the impression, reading the HK reports, that 75% or more are on hotel girls.  Why seemingly so few reports on walk ups?  Is the quality of the hotel girls just that much more worth noting?

my opinion is that there are more non-chinese speakers on the English forum, so they will gravitate more towards the hotel girls, as there is the possibility that some of the agents speak English, while for a walk-up, there is almost zero possibility of English (unless she is Thai). even on the chinese forum there are more HG reports than walk ups, the ratio being 1 walk up report for every 2 HG reports, but here on the English forum, it's probably 1 walk up report for every 10 HG reports.

Obviously, quality is another thing. HG quality is much better, and for those who like variety, there are new HGs every week, unlike walk ups who can stick around for a long time.

lastly, photoshopped as they may be, HG DB pics usually show the HG's face, while walk ups almost always have blurred faces, so bros may prefer to try HGs as they have an idea how the lady would look like.

I think walkups are generally a bit more mechanical for want of a better term. You go there, you fuck, and you leave. HG's seem to be more about the experience and actually connecting with the gal. It's not the quality of the girl, as such, but rather the quality of the experience.

Could it be that the members who are active on this forum prefer HG's, whereas bros who frequent the walkups are either not active or not on here at all? Or are we just not bothering to report on walkups?

If you think that walkups are a bit more mechanical, why do you prefer them over the HGs? I don't understand it. I prefers HGs because of their better quality and I believe they are worth the extra money.

I only meant that as an English speaker, it can be easier to knock on a door and do the deed rather than negotiate with agents who may or may not speak English, and try to work out the hotel details, etc...

I don't actually have a preference... both have their advantages!

In my limited HK experience, I have found the HG scene to be a lot more fun.  Some walkups have kindof felt like paying to get my shoes polished - ok, better than that - but the HG thing has its intrigue....

what i find interesting is that now we are starting to see alot more real pics of walk up girls.
I guess they saw how much the HG got increased business with real pics.

My 2c ...

For starters the markets are different - there's a built-in turnover in the HG market - this means there's less chance of building up a long-term relationship with the girl, so sharing her is less of an issue, and a small group of bros reciprocating by sharing good news pays off faster.  

The walkups tend to be around longer, so are a better option for those guys who want a pseudo-girlfriend.  Anyone with the inclination to be a loner (including doing things for themselves, and not sharing what they know) has more time to figure out who they like, and the payoff for keeping her secret is greater as the new favourite has less competition for her time and energy.  

Certainly a number of the HG reports are written by guys visiting HK ... if you've never navigated around Hong Kong's back streets and made your way up a concrete stairwell, I can imagine that a hotel lobby feels a lot more comforting ...

Another rather simpler reason may simply be that success breed success: the high profile of HG reports means more people are attracted to do the same.

for me HG's seem a little more clean than the walkups... hotel buildings are easier to also spot than some of the walkup flats for those unable to read chinese
