Batam

Hi...anyone familiar with the scene in Batam? I'm heading there this Friday, which is unfortunately Hari Raya (sort of like New Year for Indonesia), which is a big thing for them. As I've never been there before, I'm worried it might be a ghost town there then, no WGs, no clubs no pubs nothing! So anyone has any contacts or familiar with that place?

Was in Batam about 2 months ago for golf and didn't notice a vibrant WG scene there. Also been to Bintan and the WG scene there is appalling. Visited the brothels about 30 minutes drive from the pier and it was pathetic and girls very low quality working in awful conditions. It was more like a barracks with every WG having their own tiny cubicle with a small bed separated by a sheet. It was a sad scene and I took off almost immediately. Couldn't bear staying there any longer.

There is a big WG scene in Batam. But nothing fancy, just a working man's fuckjoint. Only thing is the brothels are all likely to be closed for the religious holidays, so tough luck there.
