Alright, I will try to be concise.

DISCLAIMER:  All info is valid as of Oct. 2007.  I haven't been in HK since then so don't blame me if the situation has changed drastically.  It oughtn't to have.

The area I'm referring to is in Jordan roughly bordered by Nathan Road to the East, Nanking Road to the South, Shanghai Street to the West and Kansu Street to the North.

These days a lot of the nighttime action will be up Temple Street between Ning Po & Pak Hoi, and along the West side of Shanghai St. with a large concentration generally across the road from the small park (which itself is across the road from a 7-11) and further up Shanghai up to around Pak Hoi.  You'll see them meandering along the East-West streets along the way up as well.

If you cross Shanghai and wander up & down Reclamation St., you'll certainly find a few knock 'n shops but these days rarely (albeit sometimes) SW's.  

Further up where Kansu & Wusung meet you should regulary find a couple more, and sometimes along the bottom end of the continuation of Temple St. just around the corner.

These girls are mostly available from give or take 11:00 p.m./12:00 a.m. ~5/6:00 a.m.

Further south, where the pedestrianized part of Nanking st. meets Shanghai, you should see them well early into the day but they aren't quite the night owls the other girls are.  If you like older women you can get them along Nanking as early as 8 or 9 in the morning but unless that's your cup of tea, pass.  If you turn left onto Nanking from heading North up Nathan Road, once the cover of darkness falls you will still sometimes see girls opposite the seedy joints on the North side of the road.  Where it meets Parkes St. there are usually 1 or 2 girls sitting/standing, but you'll have to use your senses to discern who's a WG and who's working for the minibus co. writing stuff down since they seem to be friends & chat a lot to each other.

You can still get some but not too many anymore girls on Parkes & Wusung streets just north of Ning Po, during the midnight hours.  These days they rarely seem to venture south of it.

That's what comes to mind for the moment (there are other areas YMT, TST, MK, YL I think), but nowhere as central, affordable & busy as Jordan).  Now then, a few tips:

1)Street Prostitution is illegal.  If you see a pack of these girls suddenly all go into hiding, don't follow them.  Just wait for the strolling PC's to move along and they will all be back in a minute or two.

2)Follow the girl at 20 paces or so.  She's in no hurry to run away from you, so let her go first and lead the way without arousing suspicion from any nearby constables.

3)If the girl tells you to stop or wait when you're just outside her building, it'll be for the same reason.  So just fart around with your phone and look the other way and in a minute she'll come open the front gate/door for you.

4)How can you spot them?  Girls not really walking around but dragging themselves, but with a handbag.  They don't all dress in the lovely dresses they used to.

5)Price.  Here's where it gets fun.  The latenight girls are generally all available for $200.  The ones up around Kansu St. will likely charge you more ($300 or more) but you should get more from them.  I've never really tried bargaining for under $200 since I'm quite alright with that price in today's market.  The ones -particularly around Nanking/Parkes- will ask for $300 and not a penny less, but that comes with a certain guarantee which will be explained further down.  Most girls will try to ask you for more at first, and I've never seen one make an opening offer of under $500 to any blacks.  Just don't be put off by that.

6)Negotiating.  Instead of talking with the girl or writing things down on paper, using your phone, etc., prices are worked out with fingers.  With your hand at your side or in front of you (fingers pointing down) you make your offer via each extended finger = $100.  If they see that you know this local form of negotiating they tend to expect you to know the game and give up quicker in trying to ask for more.  The only thing I never did confirm is whether crossing your index fingers is how you say $50.

7)Service.  This varies wildly from girl to girl.  Some have managed to get HK ID so they're around all the time and then there are frequent flyers and new girls coming in from time to time.  So, many different levels of experience and willingness.  You probably won't get anal rimming for example but FS, CBJ, BBBJ, DATY, DFK, & all sorts of positions are available if you get the right girl.  That's not a comprehensive list since I haven't tried every girl, it's up to you to explore and hopefully not get one of the very few bitchy ones.

8)Health!  Just when it was maybe sounding good...  The thing about these $200 shags is that a shower is not necessarily part of the bargain.  Depends on the girl.  The places CAN be a bit dirty/dumpy (though aren't necessarily), but for some of you this will probably excite you.  The girls who charge more (ie. $300) will tend to have better places & shower together included before & after.  I've never managed to catch anything like scabbies from shagging in their beds though so take that for whatever it may be worth.  And please don't rant about health issues when we all take BBBJ's and so on from some girls and then not from others.  We all have our inconsistencies; just suck it up and don't be a part-time puritan.

9)Never tried out-call so don't ask me.  Oh!  After your first go with the girl they should be happy to meet you 24/7 at their place as long as you can speak enough Chinese on the phone to let them know when you're coming.  The only girl who ever refused me over the years was a very young newcomer who must have shit her pants at my black leather & spikes, judging by the expression on her face.  I took them off but to no avail so I made an annoying fly of myself for a few minutes as a way of saying thank you before turning the corner and following someone else up a flight of stairs.

I'm falling asleep so if there's anything I missed I will follow-up next time.  SW's in Jordan aren't the be all end all and it's sad that you won't see the 4~5 dozen of them every day which was the case up to about 2 years ago (sure made strolling around Jordan fun!), but for those who like to window shop and enjoy the fun of getting it right then and there, or just for the thrill some of us get dealing with SW's or having "dirty" sex, it's another option.  Have fun, and hopefully most/all of this info still applies.  The only change I've seen since 2002 was a major clean-up sometime in 2006, although slowly but surely it was getting busier during my stay last year.

I think I saw some of them on my way from NSD hotel to MK......usually to recoup my enrgy and take some air, I will walk from the hotel passing thru Jordan to MK....but think I miss the streets u mention but I did saw same lady on the side of the roads, corner of some street (main nathan road). Then saw a guy follow the gal up the floor......some ok lookin but few old woman......have not seen the young type....next time I will walk away from Natahn Rd into the next street. and check out....

The hunt sounds kind of fun

The Jordan area near the intersection of Shanghai and Ning Po street has definitely become a new hotbed of streetwalking activity in Hong Kong in the last few years.  I think as the Mongkok brothel scene continues to decline, this area is now the place for illegal mainland girls to ply their trade.

It's not EXACTLY on the corner of Shanghai and Ning Po but it's in a 2-3 block area surrounding it.  I've never tried the girls.  But the last time I was in Hong Kong, I stayed at a guesthouse in Jordan and walked through the area nightly.  The price is $200-$300.  They don't seem to speak Cantonese (let alone English).  The quality is mostly below average but you will definitely see some gems if you are patient enough.  They're pretty aggressive with the solicitation.  And there are LOTS of guys lounging around looking at the girls.  When the scene is jumping, it reminds me of the good old mongering days in Mongkok.

Of course I'm in no position to question this now but I'd be mildly surprised if the girls have gotten aggressive.  One of the attractions was they were always so docile that you could window shop to your heart's content, undisturbed.

But furryfriend does raise a point -at most half will speak Cantonese, all will speak Mandarin, zero speak English (which is where finger negotiating comes into play, and body language once in the room if need be for extras/clarity, like bum sex).  One was telling me it's because their families had to withdraw them from school at a young age before they learnt any English, so she was asking me how to say a few grabber terms in English.

He raised another point -don't be worried by all the guys you will indeed see lounging about.  They're doing just the same things as you:  either loitering, looking for fun's sake, waiting for the right one, trying in vain to lowball or building up the courage to ask.  They aren't undercovers waiting to toss you in the nick.

I have been passing around Jordan for the last 5 years

Year 2006 and before, the area is a fantasy. there are lots of street walkers around nanking street and the area around public bathhouse. The quality are far better than what you see in new lucky house and national court heydays. Because the girls are younger, between 18-25 and most are jordan karaoke and sauna non working hours part timers. Many looks like in their teens. And a lot more in the area where the underground wellcome shop is.

In the first quarter of 2007, there is a crackdown on streetwalkers, police van are visible on almost all intersections.  Banners warning prostitution hanging all over the sidewalks. You barely notice any (unless you considers the matures womens which i dont even take glance)

There are only options

1. Walkups where you see old grannies sitting outside doorways. I not sure why grannies are immuned as pimps. But surely you won't even think twice going up because the places are shitholes.  But the girls arent old, some are thais. Price is $100

2. Places that act like massage parlours. You will see white background and red letters placards.  I check a few out and most are in their 30s.  Some are young but i always imagine any people with spare changes had done her.

In the first Quarter of 2008, visible streetwalkers are back starting to roam in the evening. Most are in 40s and up.  Maybe some has their own standards but looking at most of them already turns off my evening hunt.  Around 10pm up especially weekends there are more younger girls below 30s visible at dark areas at the street behind the night market and street where jordan curry is. They charge $200.  I never tried them so i dont know where they bring people to.
