Can any Bro help me out, with what I already know is a lame question. I will be travelling again in July and will have only one night free in HK, as transiting to GZ.
I will be staying in Excelsior (CWB) for the first time in many years instead of the usual hotel I use in Wanchai. Wanted to stay somewhere different this time as I sometimes think I am a little too close to the action, and after looking at some reports seems some WGs like to try to make quick exits if you are too close, to try to get another punt in. I know I'm not a million miles away, but thought I'd see if it made a difference.

Anyway here's the lame question: Can someone confirm if they know if the hotel is WG friendly?

Before I get rapped by the Mods for asking such a dumb question, I have searched to try to get the answer, but no success as yet.

I only ask as it has been a while since I mongered over in the promised land, as on pasts recent visits I have been hampered with other commitments.

The last thing I need is to score, only to get pipped before I reach the finishing post by Hotel Security! Should such a thing happen I would find it necessary to post for a bro to come over and kick me squarely in the nuts to help distract from the fact I am not emptying them.

Any re assurance would be cool.

Thanks for the link, have read through it twice! however could not find any details of the hotel I have booked.
I guess looking through all the threads I have so far to the point I think I may need to change the prescription on my specs since I am convinced I have damaged my retinas from the laptop back lighting, I have come to the conclusion that I would be pretty damn unlucky to have any probs with bringing a WG back.
May even consider making a trip to Macau for a day or two, as seems like I'll have a couple of free days this trip.

Bro, yes the Excelsior is WG friendly. There is a nice "English Pub" style bar down stairs. Not a punting (sourcing) bar but a great place to have a drink, light snacks etc. You could take your WG there for a drink and a bite before the main event. As hunter says, providing she looks respectable you will be fine bringing her into the bar as well. Please take some pics and write up a report on The Excelsior in the Hotel Guide Thread.

I do tend to feel I spend a lot of time cruising it for info and need to make some contribution.
Hard to do sometimes, as I only spend short times in HK several times per year, and always seem to get caught up in none mongering activities.
Taking a couple of days free this time so all should be good. But knowing how the mongering gods look upon me, all the WGs will probably stay at home cos of the rain.

I will try to do you both justice by ramming whichever lucky gals have the fortune to cross my path so hard, that time travel may be achievable.

My friend uses this hotel a lot to meet up with his 'friends' - as long as they look OK everything will be fine.
