herbal pills instead of viagra ?

I have seen in the Guangzhou airport (national flights after security check) that there is a store who sells different "natural" herbal drugs and quite some have been a replacement for Viagra or for women. Does someone ever tested this things and could share his experiances ?

The guy in the store did not speak English, so I was not convince to buy something. I just understood from his mandarin that some products are for woman other for men.
Is there a good "viagra for women" around as TCM ?

isnt that "Horny Goat Weed" or 'wheat' you see in mannings herbal? i saw it a few times and laughed just cause of hte product name

Have you tried Ciallis? Get them in off Jordan Rd pharmacists for 360 for 4.

I've had good experiences with them.

I am curious to the :herbal" medication. Is this something you ingest like herbal tea? I think I saw something a couple years ago in my hotel where you would apply a herbal compress? to the genital base area to get an erection.

Completely bogus, just another way of parting the gullible from their cash.

99% of so called alternative medications only work via the placebo effect or have side effects that you may not realise till years down the track.

If you where to hold them up to the same requirements as western medicine ie extensive reseach and trials, you'd find they do very little.

It is wise to approach these herbs with a high degree of caution.

There is one that actually has been medically studied in the US. Here is a quote from Wikipedia.

"The NIH states that yohimbine hydrochloride is the standardized form of yohimbine that is available as a prescription medicine in the United States, and has been shown in human studies to be effective in the treatment of male impotence.

Yohimbine Hydrochloride, USP – a standardized form of yohimbine – is a prescription medicine that has been used to treat erectile dysfunction. Controlled studies suggest that it is not always an effective treatment for impotence, and evidence of increased sex drive (libido) is anecdotal only."

I agree though, if you need Viagra, then use it.

And thanks to all the contributions, seems that there is nothing comparable to Viagra & co...
By the way, FDA warns that Viagra is added in some "herbal products"...
