#1 Post at 28-9-2010 15:51  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L hongkong around christmas? I plan to spend a few days in HK around christmas. How is the mongering scene at that time? Any lull in the action on it the best time of the year ? ;) How is it at Neptune club and in Lan Kwai Fong? Besides mongering, how should I spend my time? BTW. how is the general weather there at Dec end? Thanks in appreciation.

I have done Wan Chai Bars inc Neptune etc between Dec 1 - 12 before and it's business as usual, after that I don't know. it's Hong Kong so drinking, mongering, shopping, eating, mongering is the way to go. Victoria Peak, Ocean Park, Lan Tau Big Buddha, Tai Po Fishing Village, Stanley, Macao for punting and gambling, Shen Zhen for shopping... stacks of things to do.

The only time normal buisness is affected is Chinese New Year as mentioned above. weaher is nice and cool Jacket required LKF on New Years eve is  such a large crowd that it is police controlled

Temperatures can be 18-23c and outside of monsoon season obviously. Shops and other places generally open throughout Xmas, with few exceptions. LKF will be lively, no doubt. Never ventured to WC at Xmas.

Would like it to be within a walking distance from a underground railway station and should be somewhat upscale (not too expensive though - so probably 5* are out of question)
