Pimp-turned-whistleblower Chuvit blames ‘VVIPs’ who pack Thonglor titty clubs for endless COVID

This is Krystal Club, which you could call ‘Government House Club’ because ministers, politicians, pro-government MPs and their teams hang out there with big-name businesspeople in VVIP rooms which are hidden from public eyes to talk about billion-baht projects to show off to girls,” he wrote Wednesday night.
Maverick former politician Chuvit Kamolvisit said this afternoon that top officials should come clean about their visits to a Bangkok night club where dozens of COVID-19 cases helped kick off the latest wave of infections.
The former massage parlor owner, now a political and media commentator, said high-level officials including government ministers and police and military brass frequent the same nightlife venues where the virus has been spreading, suggesting they are hypocrites whose double standards would drag out the health crisis.
“Please tell them, just admit it that you’ve been there. Admit it, it’s way cooler than just hiding the truth,” Chuvit said Thursday afternoon, addressing the VVIPs he says visited the Krystal Club in Soi Thonglor 25. He did not name any names.
Last night he shared footage of scantily clad women in Marvel’s Avengers costumes dancing on stage there before a large audience without a mask in sight.
“It’s the third COVID-19 outbreak which started to spread in entertainment venues in Thonglor.
A call to Krystal Club on Thursday went unanswered.
In the post, 60-year-old Chuvit went on to say the club had pulled strings to be able to open and rake in large profits despite the lack of a proper operating license.
“Hundreds of guests come in. On Fridays and Saturdays, there are thousands. Guests are varied from teens and middle age to seniors who like to party,” Chuvit wrote. “If they check into a suite, the bill is never less than THB100,000.”
Chuvit rode his image as a larger-than-life outlaw willing to call out the corruption of others to a seat in parliament. After leaving office, he continued to steal the spotlight by calling out corrupt business owners and politicians, though his motives have never been clear beyond his desire for attention. In 2016, he was sentenced to two years in jail for demolishing shops to clear the way for a development project on land he owned that was later turned into the Chuvit Garden park near BTS Nana. From 2017 to 2018, he hosted a talk show for Thairath TV.
In his post last night, he also slammed the club’s lack of social-distancing measures.
“There are no restrictions, only a body temperature machine,” he wrote. “When you step in, there is no social distancing practiced because all [the guests] were doing is fondling the girls. No face masks worn because they wanted to see each other’s faces.”
