It's ridiculous in HK these days.
I was hunting in various venues (YMT/YL streets, 141) a few months ago, and had a rejection rate of 4/5 or so among those I cared to ask. Some would even volunteer a no before I showed much interest.
There's something particularly deflating about being rejected by a hooker. Once or twice in a sea of choices is fine, but HK in 2024 is beyond annoying, and choice is not so great. Not a scene for the white guy, unless you just want to bust your nut and don't care about feeling good. With enough walking and asking, managed to score, of course, but screw that whole experience.
Was not like this before Covid. While I always had some rejections in HK, it was never been more than 1/5 or so, and almost never unsolicited.
If it were my first time, I'd say something was off with me. Maybe my appearance and vibe putting them off. However, I had no such problems at all in other countries, and did fine in HK before Covid or even back in 2023 (albeit worse). Saw local guys clearly older and shabbier dressed get "lucky" with no trouble, indicating that working girls are not actually picky, they just dislike or fear white guys these days.
