	I would think that any android smartphone that can be rooted would serve the purpose.  You should be able to find one on Craigslist pretty cheap if you go for one of the older versions that someone has replaced with a newer version - people everywhere have them stored away in their closet.  A second advantage is that it would serve as a mongering phone - and you have an airtight alibi as to its purpose - your travelling wifi hotspot. Then in HK and CN you just need to buy a SIM card for it.
